Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day inventory accounting, including inventory costing, valuation and COGS management
- Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Fulfillment, Logistics and Procurement teams to streamline and strengthen inventory processes
- Design and implement sustainable, scalable inventory tracking processes within a complex, multi-tier supplier environment.
- Own month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes in assigned areas ensuring accurate and timely reporting
- Build, document, and improve inventory accounting processes, controls, policies and procedures
- Work with business partners to improve and automate end to end processes (i.e. purchasing, inventory management, etc)
- Maintain files and all supporting documentation in a logical and organized fashion
- Together we're working hands-on to imagine, design and build an entirely new solution to a global set of transportation challenges.
- ALSO is looking for an Cost, Inventory & COGS Accounting Manager to own the inventory costing, reporting and valuation processes.
- This role will play a critical part in building scalable inventory accounting operations as we prepare to launch our first products later this year.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degrees in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 7+ years of experience in a corporate accounting role or public accounting.
- Experience with inventory and/ or cost accounting required.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, particularly ASC 330.
Compensation
- The salary for this position ranges from $140,000 - $175,000 USD depending on experience and qualifications.
