About the role
- Job Description: Berklee College of Music is looking for a proactive, highly organized, and service-oriented Operations Manager to anchor the daily operations of the Music Business/Management Department.
Responsibilities
- This role blends executive administrative support, financial tracking, event coordination, and academic operations into a vibrant, collaborative workspace.
- Provide high-level support to the Chair and Assistant Chair.
- Track the departmental budget, handle purchasing, contracts, and invoices, and manage student employees.
- Assist with academic scheduling, guide faculty to campus resources, and provide operational support during peak cycles like registration and graduation.

Requirements
- Education & Experience: A Bachelor's degree or higher in business, arts management, higher education, or a related field, alongside at least three years of experience in a fast-paced administrative or office management role.
- Skills: Exceptional multitasking and communication skills, a tech-savvy approach (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and modern project management tools), and a knack for anticipating needs and solving problems independently.
- Bonus Points: Prior experience in higher education, arts administration, or the music industry, as well as familiarity with Workday, Colleague, or Mailchimp.
