About the role

  • Cannabis is one of the fastest-moving industries in the country, and the accounting function is where much of that complexity lands: inventory costing, 280E, multi-entity compliance, and reporting standards that are still taking shape.
  • This hands-on role oversees day-to-day accounting for our grow facility.
  • You'll work closely with the operations team and report to the Controller, taking ownership of key accounting areas while seeing how the numbers connect to the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across a team.
  • Even Better If You Have Familiarity with cannabis-specific financial and regulatory requirements, including 280E.
  • Budgeting and forecasting experience in a growing business.
  • It's a strong fit for an accountant with several years of experience who is ready to own processes, build from the ground up, and grow with the company.

  • Work with the AP coordinator to ensure invoices are coded and entered correctly in QBO, with an eye on detail that makes future reporting stronger.
  • What You Bring Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Direct experience with cost accounting and inventory accounting.
  • Solid working knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting best practices.
