Responsibilities
- Coordinate with IT, Facilities, Recruiters and Managers to distribute and validate all new employee data
- Prepare new employee "Welcome Bags" and monitor and maintain inventory across major domestic offices
- Manage administrative tasks for employee changes, transfers, and terminations
- Maintain HR announcements and updates on the Starr Portal (e.g., new hires, events, webinars)
- Support quarterly new manager training
- Coordinate NY office blood drives
- Distribute and maintain Metropolitan Museum corporate passes
- Manage domestic sports teams' administration
- Partner with HR leadership on employee engagement and development initiatives
Requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Preferable experience leveraging AI tools or automation technologies to streamline HR workflows or enhance operational efficiency.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively and professionally at all levels of the organization.
- For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Starr Insurance Companies is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.
- Minimum 1-3 years of relevant human resources experience; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail, superior organizational abilities, and demonstrated capacity to manage multiple competing priorities efficiently.
- Collaborative team player who adapts seamlessly to change and navigates shifting priorities with ease.
- Proven ability to exercise sound judgment, consistently handle sensitive information discreetly, and maintain confidentiality.
- Skilled in engaging with employees and stakeholders daily, providing prompt and accurate responses to HR inquiries.
- Proactive in identifying solutions, demonstrating initiative, and delivering high-level support to the HR team and internal clients.
