About the role

  • The schedule for this position is 28 hours per week, 4 days per week.
  • This is a hands-on, flexible role for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and meaningful work.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Step into classrooms to implement lesson plans when substituting for a teacher
  • Support positive behavior strategies and ensure participant safety
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and leadership

Requirements

  • Ability to quickly adapt to different roles and responsibilities within the program.
  • Qualified Medication Administration Personnel through CDPHE required, if not currently QMAP certified, we will pay for the costs of obtaining certification.
  • Administer medications (QMAP certification required
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or Special Education preferred but not required.
  • Minimum one year experience working with adults with IDD in an educational, recreational, or support capacity preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid Colorado Driver's license and clean motor vehicle report and possess the willingness and skills necessary to drive 15 passenger vehicles to transport participants to various outings and activities.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to multi-task, problem-solve effectively and manage the demands of a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification to ensure health and safety of clients.
  • Must be able to pass a drug and medical test.
