About the role

  • Position: Warehouse Equipment Operator 1st Shift 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM - $17 Per Hour Scholastic Reading Events are wondrous in-person experiences that empower kids to discover books for themselves.
  • Irresistibly defying expectations of how one must act in a library, Fairs raise over 200 million dollars in funds and resources for schools that host Fairs.
  • Effectiveness Dependability & Reliability: - Is reliable and dependable in fulfilling obligations. - Demonstrates regular and punctual attendance in accordance with SBF policy. - Responsible for proper handling of product at all times.

  • We are currently in search of a Full Time Power Equipment Operator to help us manage our shipping dock and inventory movements.

Requirements

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
  • Must be trained and licensed to operate power equipment
  • For non-internal promotions, candidates must have a minimum 1 year power equipment operation experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate basic product scanner proficiency (i.e., ordering replenishment) effectively with minimal errors.
  • Strong team player and the ability to get along with co-workers.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Requires satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.
  • Good verbal/written communication skills, basic math skills, and ability to read documents in English, such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.

  • Must be able to lift boxes that weigh up to 50 lbs occasionally on a daily basis
  • Must be able to stand, reach above and below the shoulders, squat, bend and kneel as necessary to perform the job

Nice to have

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.

Skills

  • Recording details of all work tasks performed accurately and completely.
  • Working with Tools & Technology
  • Demonstrates appropriate use of tools and technology to complete work functions according to standard process and procedures.
