About the role

  • The schedule can be 48-60 hours/week, and includes underground work.
  • Fabricate and install fluid system components from an engineering schematic or drawing.
  • Troubleshoot, repair and overhaul mechanical systems such as pumps, chillers, or gearboxes.

Responsibilities

  • Our Integration Technicians support the assembly, integration, and testing of parts and systems of our Tunnel Boring Machines.
  • Perform the build and assembly of mechanical and hydraulic systems, subsystems, and components such as valves, manifolds, and pumps.
  • Build, crimp, and test hydraulic hose assemblies.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair tunnel equipment, including the tunnel boring machine.
  • Support excavation/boring operations up to and including the erection/build of tunnel support lining utilizing a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM).
  • Work underground and perform various construction related tasks such as rail building, grout pumping, cable pulling, and ring building.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of maintenance technician experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years of experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and/or electrical repair.
  • Ability to write detailed repair reports (advanced MS Office skills).
  • Experience with hand/power tools, forklifts, and other heavy equipment.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and experience operating at a high degree of urgency.
  • Additional Requirements Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. unassisted Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to travel for short and extended trips as needed.
  • Ability to work outdoors in heavy construction areas.
  • Basic Qualifications High school diploma or GED.

Nice to have

  • Preferred Skills and Experience Certificate or studies related to mechanical or hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, SLDs, and CAD drawings (hydraulic and pneumatic drawings a plus).

Compensation

  • $48k-$60k
