About the role
- The schedule can be 48-60 hours/week, and includes underground work.
- Fabricate and install fluid system components from an engineering schematic or drawing.
- Troubleshoot, repair and overhaul mechanical systems such as pumps, chillers, or gearboxes.
Responsibilities
- Our Integration Technicians support the assembly, integration, and testing of parts and systems of our Tunnel Boring Machines.
- Perform the build and assembly of mechanical and hydraulic systems, subsystems, and components such as valves, manifolds, and pumps.
- Build, crimp, and test hydraulic hose assemblies.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair tunnel equipment, including the tunnel boring machine.
- Support excavation/boring operations up to and including the erection/build of tunnel support lining utilizing a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM).
- Work underground and perform various construction related tasks such as rail building, grout pumping, cable pulling, and ring building.
Requirements
- 5+ years of maintenance technician experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years of experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and/or electrical repair.
- Ability to write detailed repair reports (advanced MS Office skills).
- Experience with hand/power tools, forklifts, and other heavy equipment.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and experience operating at a high degree of urgency.
- Additional Requirements Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. unassisted Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Ability to travel for short and extended trips as needed.
- Ability to work outdoors in heavy construction areas.
- Basic Qualifications High school diploma or GED.
Nice to have
- Preferred Skills and Experience Certificate or studies related to mechanical or hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, SLDs, and CAD drawings (hydraulic and pneumatic drawings a plus).
