Responsibilities

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • assisting in the integration of the latest tools and technologies into the breeding program, developing and selecting breeding populations, data collection and analysis using appropriate statistical tools, and preparing manuscripts for refereed journals and/or non-refereed publications.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. degree in plant breeding and genetics or closely related fields.
  • Ph.D degree must be conferred by the date of hire.
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing field trial data
  • Experience in marker-assisted selection
  • No Background Check Required

  • Working experience in a plant breeding program
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as R and Python
  • Familiar with bioinformatics tools
  • Experience in analyzing genomic data
  • Primary Responsibilities:
  • Supporting and assisting the senior rice breeder in adopting the latest technologies in the breeding program, which include genomic selection/prediction, high-throughput phenotyping, and AI.
  • Data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Prepare manuscripts and technical reports for publication, including peer-reviewed journal articles.
