About the role

  • The Senior Manager, Engineering plans and directs all aspects of development activities within their teams ensuring all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with the organization's established policies and objectives.
  • Senior Managers can also have specialized subject matter expertise within the technical areas their teams work in.

Responsibilities

  • Generates and manages day to day work for Tools & Systems teams.
  • Manage teams that will deliver high quality, innovative hardware and solutions, in collaboration with stakeholders such as architects, developers, product managers, CSEs and prod support people.
  • Support the team by providing direction, clarity and removing obstacles.
  • Work with team members to deliver the key features
  • Drives continuous improvement in engineering processes and champions adoption of secure coding standards.
  • Implement the R&D Department and Team Responsibilities.
  • Enable to the deployment of hardware and off the shelf software in support of Testing, Integrations development and niche production use cases.
  • Develop careers of team members
  • Involved in helping set and manage the Directorate level budget

Requirements

  • 6 years' experience in software development or Information Technology, ideally both or Master's degree + 2 years' experience in software development management, engineering leadership, or related role.
  • Background checks are required for this position.
