  • The Maintenance Team is a matrix organization within the Company that is dedicated to creating food products that are leading the gold standard in plant-based proteins.

Responsibilities

  • On the job training and assisting other technicians with support repair work, preventive maintenance work, and project work
  • Performs other duties, as assigned, and follows through on requests in a timely manner
  • Founded in 2009, Beyond Meat's core products are designed to have the same taste and texture as animal-based meat while being better for people and the planet.

Requirements

  • Ability to work extended shifts, weekends, and holidays sometimes with short or no notice.
  • Must be capable of writing detailed reports, general day-to-day oversight, and related correspondence.
  • Must be able to occasionally climb stairs or a ladder to complete tasks.
  • This position will be required to visit the production floor, refrigerated and frozen storage, and warehouses.
  • Understand that overtime and occasional weekends and/or worked holidays will be required based on company needs.

  • Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus, not a requirement
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work any/all shifts to support a high growth work environment.
  • Warehouse and production manufacturing environment that includes both tempered and ambient areas.

  • Position requires the ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods, step, balance, crouch, stoop, kneel, squat, bend, must be able to lift minimal 50 lbs. consistently, reach above shoulders, or as needed to complete tasks.
  • Position located in a mix of production and office environments and requires a tolerance for consistent cold work environments (-10-40˚ F), high worker traffic, loud noises, odors, dust, and varying room temperatures.
  • Work flexible shifts as required.

Skills

  • Minimum 3 - 6 years of experience in a food and/or beverage manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Valid driver's license
  • The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands.

Compensation

  • The starting hourly base pay for this role is between USD $25.00 and $34.00 per hour.
  • The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

  • The Maintenance Technician will perform journey level work which will require previous experience in a similar industrial setting.
  • The second tiered technicians should be able to perform a broader range of more complex tasks, will require less supervision, and may occasionally provide technical direction to less experienced maintenance staff.
  • They will also be responsible for providing general mechanical and electrical maintenance and upkeep of the equipment and building.
