About the role
- Reporting to the Assistant Director of Engineering & Operations, the Transportation Engineer will work closely with Engineering staff on transportation, development and capital construction projects.
- Additionally, they are responsible for providing input, recommendations, and technical decisions to advance the City's overall Transportation System.
Responsibilities
- Focusing on safety and efficiency, the incumbent will develop strategies to improve the movement of pedestrians and vehicles, identify and eliminate pedestrian and AT gaps, identity and improve aspects of cycling network, and identify safety concerns within the system through Engineering analysis.
- The Transportation Engineer will all provide support to various operational Divisions within Engineering and Operations.
