Responsibilities
- Develop and execute account and sales strategies that meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, developing a deep understanding of their business, technical, and market needs.
- Position Altera's solutions to address complex customer requirements and accelerate design-win opportunities.
- Build relationships and influence decisions across engineering, procurement, business leadership, and executive teams.
- Collaborate with business solutions, product marketing, engineering, and other cross-functional partners to support account growth.
- Maintain accurate forecasts, reporting, pipeline analysis, and account plans for senior leadership.
- Lead complex sales cycles from opportunity development through negotiation, closure, and continued account expansion.
Requirements
- Strong experience in sales account management, field sales, or a related role.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
- Business and technical acumen, with the ability to understand customer challenges and communicate solution value.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or higher.
- Applicants must be eligible for any required U.S. export authorizations.
- Proven success supporting Tier 1 or major OEM customers through complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
- Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior executives and technical decision-makers.
Nice to have
- Experience selling highly specialized semiconductor solutions, including FPGAs, ASICs, or related technologies.
- An established network within Bay Area customer organizations.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, forecasting systems, and sales analytics platforms.
