About the role

  • Frostburg State University's Department of Engineering & Sustainable Technologies invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Mechanical Engineering faculty position in thermal-fluids, beginning Spring 2026.
  • Areas of interest include the broad fields of thermal sciences and fluid mechanics.

Responsibilities

  • Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching undergraduate thermal science and fluid mechanics courses and related engineering courses, mentoring students, and developing undergraduate-level research projects.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, ability to teach thermal science and related engineering courses.

Nice to have

  • Strong background and experience in Mechanical Engineering and related discipline course teaching.
  • Specific teaching interest in Thermodynamics, Transfer Processes, Fluid Mechanics, and other related fundamental core engineering courses.
  • More than 4,000 students enroll yearly.
