Responsibilities

  • The ECT Nurse Supervisor maintains a high standard of nursing care and contributes to the provision of high quality ECT services by organizing, coordinating.
  • The Registered Nurse supervisor who specializes in Electro Convulsive Therapy will maintain a high standard of nursing care and contributes to the provision of high quality ECT services.

Requirements

  • ACLS Certification required (must be attained within 30 days of your hire date), Two years of clinical experience in Psychiatric/Behavioral

  • Coordinates process with phlebotomist, medical staff and psychiatrist.
  • Facilitating the delivery of care for patients receiving inpatient and outpatient ECT, as well as by collaborating on ECT processes with the Medical and Nursing Leaderships.
  • Patient & Family Education: Explaining the procedure and addressing concerns.
  • Pre-procedure: Assessing the patient's, starting IVs, and reviewing consent and medical history.
  • To facilitate delivery of high-quality, safe and effective nursing care; to assist in the operation of the ECT department according to the legal guidelines of mental health care in the State of Texas.
