Responsibilities
- Develop automation projects utilizing OpenAI based agents that properly handle and securely process private, corporate data alongside external data sources.
- Script and code primarily in Python to build and deploy automation solutions.
- Build and validate prototypes, assure reliability, and transform into final implementations.
- Collaborate with appropriate teams to integrate automation workflows.
- Build and deliver internal and external AI based solutions to deliver value to the business as process cost savings or customer revenue support.
- Short time cycles (months) for deploying result by leveraging AI for building code and using intelligent solutions exploiting existing software systems.
- As part of the application, hiring, onboarding, and/or employment process, Zayo or its affiliates, partners, and vendors may collect, store, and use biometric identifiers and biometric information (collectively, "Biometric Data"), such as fingerprints, facial geometry scans or other unique biological characteristics.
- These solutions will be in addition to our AI support from established Zayo systems based on platforms such as Salesforce and ServiceNow.
Requirements
- Minimum of ten (10) years of software development experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of proven experience in AI-driven automation projects.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Python scripting.
- Experience with GIT, JIRA, Agile and software development pipelines.
- Ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated experience building and designing complex systems (e.g., workflows, distributed applications).
- Familiarity with OpenAI technology, Agent related commonly accepted practices (e.g., A2A and MCP), and other AI technology relevant to building agents.
- General understanding of data security practices, especially in automation.
- Superior written and oral communication skills, including comfort interacting with customers when needed.
- Strong ownership mindset-you take responsibility for outcomes, not just outputs.
- Humility and curiosity: willing to be wrong, learn, and adapt.
- Estimated Base Salary Range: $89,800.00 - $138,200.00 USD/annually.
Nice to have
- Telecom experience is a strong plus, but not required if you learn quickly and think in systems.
- Experience working with AWS, and enterprise platforms like ServiceNow, Salesforce, or OracleFusion is a plus.
