Requirements

  • Experience working with mechanical and electrical systems
  • Experience safely use hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and technical documentation
  • Experience managing multiple work orders and prioritizing accordingly
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work with tools for extended periods
  • Ability to work in shop environments and throughout campus facilities

  • At least one year of experience repairing custodial, industrial, mechanical, or similar equipment
  • Valid driver's license

Nice to have

  • At least two years of custodial experience in the commercial/corporate industry
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Skills

  • Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment operation and maintenance
  • Ability to use cleansers and other agents to clean floors and furniture
  • Ability to use housekeeping cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision
  • Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions
  • Ability to perform repetitive manual work
  • Ability to do required lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
