Job Posting Details: Talen Energy is looking for candidates to fill job openings for Plant Technician-Fuel.
This position will be located at the Brandon Shores Power Plant in Baltimore, MD (Pasadena area).
The Brandon Shores Plant is a fully scrubbed coal-fired generating station.

Performs the safe and efficient operation of fuel handling equipment, such as bulldozers and loaders, unloading and reclaiming conveyor systems, barge unloaders, and stacker/reclaimers.
Performs maintenance on all the various types of fuel handling and CCB equipment associated with the unloading and reclaiming of fuel and the disposal of coal combustion products by:
May perform other fuel handling duties, as needed.
Performs all duties in compliance with the company's safety and environmental programs.
Hold and maintain a valid driver's license that meets company standards.

Ability to work frequent overtime and/or weekends on short notice.
Ability to work in confined spaces and use a respirator.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in the safe operation of fuel handling equipment, associated with the unloading and reclaiming of fuel and the disposal of coal combustion products.
Experience in an industrial environment, with a willingness to take initiative and has an understanding of the value of multi-tasking, teamwork, flexibility, and stewardship.
A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel and Word.
Ability to effectively meet respirator qualifications.

Testing operations as necessary and required
Performs minor mechanical or electrical repair or modifications on equipment or initiates requests for specialized internal or external resources to perform necessary and required repairs or modifications.

Ability to work with bulk materials such as coal, dirt, ash, gravel and coal combustion products.
The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and wet or humid conditions.
Occupationally hazardous noise exposure may occur in the power plant or other locations where heavy industrial equipment is in use.

The expected salary range for this position is $75,000.00 to $100,000.00 annually.
