Responsibilities
- Support veterinarians in all facets of care, including interpreting and executing treatment directives
- Maintain concise and accurate records of the patient's treatment progress and charges
- A multidisciplinary team of 140+ veterinarians across 20+ specialties: With over 20 specialties and services under one roof, our departments frequently work together to deliver the highest quality of patient care in the veterinary field.
Requirements
- Ability to handle and restrain all species of animal
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to bend or kneel for extended periods of time while helping with patient restraint and not mind getting wet
- Have ability to follow detailed directions and established protocols
- Ability to correctly complete large amount of paperwork is necessary
- Must have flexibility necessary to work weekends, holidays and additional hours as needed
- NYS Veterinary Technician's license (or permit) with general practice and anesthesia experience
- Must be able to work successfully as part of a team
- Must also be able work independently and proactively
- Basic computer skills a must
