About the role
- You will serve as an individual contributor focused on operational execution, risk assessment, and the continuous improvement of EHS management systems.
- This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
- If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
Responsibilities
- The Lead Specialist Operational EHS - Fixed Facilities provides daily EHS support for site operations.
- Support necessary programs to assure compliance with OSHA, nuclear industrial and environmental protection requirements.
- Provide support and guidance to site supervisors to ensure compliance with regulatory and program requirements.
- Develop and lead training programs for assigned program areas.
- Modify and implement compliance tracking programs and record keeping systems to assure compliance.
- Evaluate facility EHS conditions, assess risks and develop appropriate corrective-action plans.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships site operations personnel, site leadership and with regulatory agencies.
- Perform incident investigations, develop corrective actions and lessons learned.
Requirements
- Up to 3 years of experience in EHS in an industrial manufacturing or fixed facility environment.
- Possess the ability to intuitively navigate and switch between complex, multi-layered enterprise applications and software suites.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, in both written and verbal form, to a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Prior experience with controlled documentation/Management of Change (MOC).
- Ability to read, understand, interpret, and apply applicable EHS regulations as they apply to the site.
- Must be able to relocate to Wilmington, NC.
Compensation
- For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $85,500.00 and $142,600.00.
Benefits
- Provide technical advice and direction on health and safety initiatives at the Wilmington site for assigned program areas.
- Responsible for leading EHS compliance for the Services Component Operations (SCO), site facilities, site medical, training and Industrial Hygiene Programs (and/or other media as assigned)
