Responsibilities
- Implement and inspect conservation practices.
- Certify and document completed practices in compliance with USDA standards.
- Assist in developing conservation plans.
- Maintain accurate travel logs and reports.
- Create and manage documents and spreadsheets using Word and Excel.
- The Survey Technician will support NRCS conservation efforts in Brown County by performing technical and administrative tasks related to land surveys, conservation practice implementation, and documentation.
Requirements
- Proficiency in computer applications and engineering/GIS software.
- Familiarity with conservation practices and USDA procedures.
- Ability to pass background checks, fingerprinting, and Homeland Security compliance.
- Travel: Occasional overnight travel may be required
- Monthly performance matrix/reporting required.
- This role involves both fieldwork and office-based responsibilities, requiring proficiency in engineering tools, GIS software, and USDA protocols.
