About the role

  • Assumes responsibility and accountability for providing nursing care for acute pain service patients and their families.
  • Will act as the liaison between patients, patient care unit nursing staff, PACU/PreOp nursing staff, pharmacy, physical therapists, surgeons, and anesthesiologists.
  • Will assist acute pain anesthesiologist with nerve blocks.

Responsibilities

  • Administers medication, implements or delegates patient care orders, accurately documents, and evaluates patient responses to care.

Requirements

  • One year of nursing experience required.
  • Must be HIPAA compliant.
  • Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
