About the role

The TRUMPF Smart Factory in Hoffman Estates, IL, is TRUMPF´s leading technology and demonstration facility.
In this innovative, flexible and fully connected factory we use state-of-the-art technologies to make Autonomous Manufacturing a reality.
The Operations Engineer is key to the success of the Smart Factory.

2-year technical school degree or equivalent work experience, with a solid math background.
Fluency in both written and verbal English required.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.

Use cutting-edge software for programming of automated laser cutting and robotic bending equipment
Setup and operate automated state-of-the-art TRUMPF laser and robotic bending equipment
Monitor availability, quality and performance while ensuring dimensional accuracy of output parts
Participate in Smart Factory, Industry 4.0 and AI-driven application studies, seminars and customer events
Work closely with other teams to provide best-in-class experiences for all visitors to the TRUMPF Smart Factory
Troubleshoot machine errors and work with TRUMPF Service experts to resolve
Operate forklifts, AGVs and other tools as needed
High school diploma or GED required, Associate or technical degree in manufacturing preferred.
