About the role
- This position is responsible for operating automated fabrication machinery, producing quality parts, and maintaining a safe and efficient work area.
- Candidates with CNC experience in heavy manufacturing or steel fabrication are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain production quality and accuracy.
- Perform routine equipment checks, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
- Maintain a clean work area while following OSHA safety standards and company procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CNC machine operating experience in structural steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing.
- Ability to read and interpret structural steel blueprints, fabrication drawings, and shop plans.
- Experience using precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
Nice to have
- High school diploma or GED required
- technical or vocational training is a plus.
- Familiarity with overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment is preferred.
