Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automated solutions to address client, internal, and regulatory reporting needs, largely utilizing Alteryx, Python, and Power-BI.
  • Design, build, and maintain automated data workflows using Alteryx to streamline recurring reporting and reduce manual effort.
  • Provide internal consulting support across the business by diagnosing problems, structuring analyses, and recommending solutions that drive measurable impact.
  • Interact with Investor Relations, Finance, Operations, and Portfolio Managers to understand reporting/data aggregation needs when developing customized solutions.
  • Develop an expert understanding of the internal systems utilized for data entry and storage, as well as the flow of information through internal systems.
  • Create visualizations for complex data models in PowerBI with the goal of simplifying understanding and reducing manual efforts for end users.
  • Address ad-hoc problem-solving needs, develop creative solutions, and own end user testing and implementation.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of full-time experience in data analytics within a finance or accounting setting, preferably at an investment firm.
  • ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects with diligent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Proficient in PowerBI development, including semantic model relationships, database queries (preferably Snowflake), writing measures in DAX, and advanced visualization techniques.
  • A foundational understanding of credit funds and portfolio management.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and excellent organizational skills; ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects with diligent attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with initiative. Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with capacity to interact with outside parties and personnel across all levels of the firm.
  • Collaborate daily with team members to brainstorm approaches, challenge assumptions, and improve deliverables through shared iteration.
  • Strong ability to think outside the box to develop solutions to Frequent / Challenging / Unique ad-hoc requests to deliver the desired information, often starting from a blank slate.
  • Strong analytical background utilizing PowerBI to summarize large datasets.
  • Proficient writing code in Python, DAX, and SQL
  • A keen interest in technology and its application in finance, with the capacity to propose and implement process improvements.

Nice to have

  • A bachelor's degree in data analytics, accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • CPA or equivalent qualification a plus.
  • Work toward or an interest in pursuing a CFA charter a plus.

Compensation

  • Expected Annual Base Salary $100,000 - $120,000
  • Actual base salary will be determined by a wide range of factors including but not limited to role, function, level, experience, qualifications and geographic location.
  • In addition to a competitive base salary, this position may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based upon factors such as individual impact, team and firm performance.
