About the role
- Solid Power is seeking a Product Development Intern to join our talented team of engineers and scientists working to revolutionize the battery industry through the development of next‐generation, all solid‐state rechargeable batteries.

Responsibilities
- Support electrode fabrication by mixing and hand casting electrode slurries.
- Support slurry development by collecting and analyzing rheological data and making recommendations for future iterations.
Requirements
- Enrolled at least in a bachelor's program in a STEM field.
- Must have experience in an academic or industrial lab environment.
- Comfort with safe handling of hazardous materials and equipment is required.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work in gloveboxes and dry rooms.
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary including, but not limited to eye protection, hair net, gloves, face mask, coveralls, full-face respirator or PAPR.
Nice to have
- The preferred candidate will be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program focused on engineering, chemistry, or a related field.
- Experience in material characterization techniques (XRD, TGA, DSC, rheometry, etc.) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Li-ion battery cell operation, performance, and failure modes preferred.
- Experience in testing and validation of Lithium ion/Lithium battery rechargeable cells preferred.
- Experience with Python or Minitab is a plus.
Compensation
- Hourly Compensation: $25/hour
