About the role
- Rotate tasks of catching birds to hold for vaccination and performing vaccination on birds (20%)
- Continue process until all birds are housed. (20%)
- Runs belts and/or augers in cage, trap, and FCR houses to remove litter and spent feed, transport litter and/or feed to litter shed and operates tractor with loader to mix litter for removal by vendor/contractor (15%)
Responsibilities
- Remove used litter from houses, place new shavings per housing schedule, maintain litter of flocks in production (15%)
- Such as: Use scalpel to obtain fat samples from euthanized bird for pesticide residue testing and spread shavings on trailer floor, sanitation in any area, dispose of mortality and trash, maintain equipment by checking fluid levels, filters, tire pressure, and clean/disinfect to remove debris, and perform steps to control vegetation. (10%)

- This position is engaged in the activities of catching, identification, and movement of birds during flock housing, pullet and spent hen removal, toe/beak trimming, flock vaccinations, house cleanout & setup, sanitation, mortality disposal, and yard maintenance. Other duties may be assigned.
