About the role
- Prepare the monthly management financial packages (with analysis) and other management reports as requested (this includes understanding and clearly articulating the financial results of the company and preparing balance sheet, income statement fluctuation)
- Reconcile payroll-related accounts and prepare payroll journal entries.
- Assist account payable operations, including vendor invoices, payment processing, and purchase order reconciliation.
Responsibilities
- Work with cross-functional teams across the company to ensure proper support for the business unit.
- Able to deliver results in a fast-paced work environment.
- You will help manage a team of contractors supporting day to day functions while laying the groundwork for an in-house team that you will build and grow over time.

Requirements
- Ability to prioritize assignments, deal with interruptions, and meet deadlines in a fast paced and growth oriented environment
- Collaborate and coordinate with various business partners to obtain required financial reporting information and develop improvements to the financial reporting process.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to manage external service providers and cross functional relationships.
- Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and a passion for working in a mission-driven organization

Nice to have
- 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, ideally a public accounting and private industry mix
- Biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
- Proficiency in NetSuite and advanced Excel and Google Suite of products (Sheets, Docs) is a plus
