- Great Basin College is seeking a creative, energetic, and strategic Social Media Specialist to elevate the college's digital presence and engage prospective students, current students, alumni, employees, and the communities we serve.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute social media strategies that support marketing, recruitment, and enrollment goals.
- Create, schedule, and publish engaging written, graphic, photo, and video content across multiple social media platforms.
- Maintain an editorial content calendar to ensure timely, consistent, and strategic messaging.
- Partner with faculty, staff, and campus departments to promote academic programs, student success stories, and college events.
- Organize and maintain digital media assets while staying current with emerging social media trends, platforms, and best practices.
- Build our community.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant professional experience

Nice to have
- Proficiency with major social media platforms and social media management and analytics tools.
- Experience using applications such as Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar creative software.
- Photography, videography, and video editing experience.
- Strong writing, storytelling, and interpersonal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Working Conditions
- Travel throughout Great Basin College's service area is required.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Compensation Grade
Compensation
- Generous annual and sick leave with 24 annual leave days, a beginning balance of 30 sick leave days.
