  • Provide supervision to certified peers and individuals working toward supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and facilitate peer support groups and individual peer support sessions
  • Train and supervise peer support staff
  • Provide regular feedback and guidance to peer support staff
  • Advocate for the needs and rights of individuals receiving peer support services
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure engagement and participation in peer support programs
  • Collaborate with other service providers to ensure comprehensive and integrated support for peers
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of peer support programs and implement changes as necessary
  • Promote awareness and understanding of peer support services within the community

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Years of Experience
  • Experience working in a peer role within a treatment setting is required.
  • Certified as a Peer Support Specialist required.
  • Equivalent experience considered in place of education requirement.
  • Three to five years' experience working as a certified peer in a behavioral health environment with addictions/substance use disorder.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in social services preferred.
  • Experience supervising is preferred.
  • Experience in evidence-based and best practices interventions is preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to utilize an electronic medical record
  • Understanding of substance use/ co-occurring disorders
  • Understanding of medicated assisted treatment
  • Working knowledge of recovery
  • Ability to be innovative and be flexible
  • Understands the importance of evidence-based practices.
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Manages timeline to complete tasks and meets deadlines
