- Provide supervision to certified peers and individuals working toward supervision.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and facilitate peer support groups and individual peer support sessions
- Train and supervise peer support staff
- Provide regular feedback and guidance to peer support staff
- Advocate for the needs and rights of individuals receiving peer support services
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure engagement and participation in peer support programs
- Collaborate with other service providers to ensure comprehensive and integrated support for peers
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of peer support programs and implement changes as necessary
- Promote awareness and understanding of peer support services within the community

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Years of Experience
- Experience working in a peer role within a treatment setting is required.
- Certified as a Peer Support Specialist required.
- Equivalent experience considered in place of education requirement.
- Three to five years' experience working as a certified peer in a behavioral health environment with addictions/substance use disorder.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in social services preferred.
- Experience supervising is preferred.
- Experience in evidence-based and best practices interventions is preferred.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to utilize an electronic medical record
- Understanding of substance use/ co-occurring disorders
- Understanding of medicated assisted treatment
- Working knowledge of recovery
- Ability to be innovative and be flexible
- Understands the importance of evidence-based practices.
- Critical thinking skills
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Manages timeline to complete tasks and meets deadlines
