About the role

After many years of providing in-person tutoring across the Northeastern US, GO launched a virtual tutoring program in 2025.
The role includes a mix of operational work (scheduling, tutor coverage, roster management), communication with tutors and school leaders (Slack and email), and observing tutoring sessions.

Instructional Support (30%)
Collect and share best practices with tutors and school partners.
Partner with school staff and GO colleagues to ensure effective implementation at each partner site.
Participate in virtual and in-person programming to support the program team, including tutor training sessions, walkthrough days, and check-ins.

Previous experience with tutoring programs.
Experience using AirTable.
The Virtual Tutoring Coordinator reports to the Director of Instruction, Rachael Balbarona.
The hiring process will be led by the Chief Program Officer, Elie Bilmes.

Must live in the greater New York City or Northern New Jersey area
GO Tutor Corps staff work remotely most days, but you will need to be able to work in-person up to 8 days per month.
The GO tutor Corps covers the cost of work-related travel.

Ideal candidates have strong logistical skills and K-12 instructional experience.

Starting annual salary for this role is $80,000-$85,000, depending on experience.
