About the role

  • The Hampton VA Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Automation to function as the automation specialist in all patient care areas of the pharmacy service.
  • He/she will be responsible for the daily maintenance and oversight of all inpatient and outpatient pharmacy automated dispensing equipment in the pharmacy and the automated pharmaceutical dispensing equipment at the local facility level.
  • May qualify based on being covered by the Grandfathering Provision as described in the VA Qualification Standard for this occupation (only applicable to current VHA employees who are in this occupation and meet the criteria).

Requirements

  • English Language Proficiency.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs).
  • Ability to evaluate, analyze and coordinate workflow and work activities within a specialized area or section of the pharmacy.

Nice to have

  • Pharmacy technician experience required, pharmacy automation experience strongly preferred.

Compensation

  • $68k-$84k

Benefits

  • Near vision correctable at 13" to 16" to Jaeger 1 to 4, Far vision correctable in one eye to 20/20 and to 20/40 in the other, depth perception.
