About the role
- The Shop Helper is responsible for performing a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled manual labor tasks in the maintenance of the company's office and shop area.
- Being reliable and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail is essential in this role.
Responsibilities
- Drive a company vehicle to pick up parts for mechanics when needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Requirements
- Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.
- Any vocational training is strongly desired.
- Those with an education and/or work-related credential from a secondary or post-secondary educational system will be given preferred interview status (Precision Exams, NOCTE, etc.).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Experience working with tools, including hand and power tools.
- Creative problem-solving abilities.
- Display a willing attitude to learn from others.
- Possess a strong sense of personal responsibility.
- Ability to work safely in close proximity to heavy equipment and machinery.
- Ability to adapt to changing work priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to have
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Skills
- This position frequently uses hand tools and power tools and operates light equipment in the course of work.
