About the role

As necessary, contract specialized industrial hygiene work to a qualified third party.
Providing regular performance related feedback against key performance metrics developed and maintained to achieve site and corporate initiatives.
Other duties may be assigned, in addition to those identified below.

Corrective measures to improve site's accident experience and to suggest/implement means to achieve site EHS goals.

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in EHS or related field
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand

English fluent (mandatory)
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and sit.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Ensures timely and accurate reporting of required regulatory submissions including permit reports, OHSA logs and workers' compensation claims.

Plans, directs, and implements environmental, health and safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance and to identify and resolve EHS deficiencies and/or issues.
Health and Safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
Investigates employee Environmental, Health and Safety suggestions and complaints, discusses findings and recommends possible solutions in a timely manner.
Inspections of facility to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determines corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.
