About the role
- PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Maintenance Mechanic performs preventative, maintenance, and repairs of large manufacturing equipment (hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor, etc.).
- - Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines, including cleaning, oiling, lubricating, changing belts machinery as necessary to ensure machines are in optimal working condition
Responsibilities

- Identify opportunities for improvement, present to appropriate leader, and implement, lead or participate in solution implementation
- Perform additional relevant duties as assigned
Requirements
- Wear required protective equipment in all areas where mandatory
- Ability to work in cold/ humid or hot/ dusty environments as needed
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, crawling, stooping, kneeling, etc. with ability to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery
- Must be able to visually inspect machines
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Collaborate with department heads regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required
- confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required
Nice to have
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Vocational certificate in appropriate field (i.e. welding, maintenance, electrical, etc.) preferred
- Ability to take and pass internal required testing
Skills
- Mechanically inclined with relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, etc. to diagnose problems with manufacturing equipment
- Good computer literacy with ability to enter work records in appropriate program
- Ability to handle and resolve most issues in an efficient and effective manner
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize projects, planning skills, and a high attention to detail
- Must possess a strong customer-centric attitude, high energy level and a strong sense of urgency
