  • You will assist in monitoring, documentation, troubleshooting, and supporting cross-functional requests alongside senior team members.

Responsibilities

  • Production Support: Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to ensure 24/7 database availability and rapid response to production incidents across our global infrastructure.
  • Development Support: Advance your T-SQL knowledge by participating in code reviews and assisting Developer and TechOps teams with query optimization and execution.
  • Automation: Utilize Python, PowerShell, and other scripting languages to build or maintain automation tools (e.g., AWS Lambdas, GitHub Action workflows, etc.).
  • Security & Compliance: Manage user permissions, SOPs, and disaster recovery runbooks while helping ensure regulatory framework compliance (including HIPAA, HITRUST, and SOC2) across all database systems.

Requirements

  • must have hands-on exposure to a live, production-level environment.
  • SQL Server: Practical experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2019 or newer.
  • Scripting: Proficiency in T-SQL
  • Core Concepts: Strong understanding of ACID, indexing, backup/restore strategies, and database security.
  • Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in T-SQL

Nice to have

  • Experience or familiarity with automated cloud monitoring tools (Datadog, CloudWatch DMVs).
  • Exposure to infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform for RDS) or cloud-native database architectures.
  • Experience or familiarity working within compliance-driven, regulated environments (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC2).
  • Soft Skills: A natural curiosity for staying current with SQL Server features and a calm, methodical approach to problem-solving under pressure.
