Responsibilities

  • Build, assemble, and operate launch ground support equipment and perform handling and integration of flight hardware based on written and verbal instructions, work orders, technical drawings, CAD models, and procedures.
  • Perform precision measurement and cleaning of hardware components.
  • Execute component builds or assemblies as per work orders and accurately document build processes for new and repeatable assembly sequences.
  • Maintain strong configuration control and workmanship standards on flight hardware.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, quality, repeatability, and safety.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and ability to obtain & maintain military installation access including DBIDS.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in aerospace, mechanical, or construction environments.
  • Experience with hands-on work of flight hardware and spacecraft from initial receipt through processing and readiness for launch, including hypergolic or other fueling operations.
  • Hands-on experience with assembling and operating FOD-intolerant service components and systems.
  • Ability to safely operate hazardous systems, including high-energy, pressure, temperature, and high-power systems.
  • Experience in lockout/tagout (LOTO), hot work permits, confined space permits, rigging, & lifting.
  • Experience in operating heavy equipment including reach-lifts and aerial lifts.
  • Ability to work second shift and weekends as required.
  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
  • Knowledge of building, assembling, testing, and operating process piping, pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical systems.
  • Install fluids system hardware including:
  • Fittings
  • Brackets
  • Mounting hardware
  • Studs and inserts
  • Skilled in handling delicate and high-value assemblies.
