About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own the complete development cycle for the math team: define, prioritize, build, and lead the implementation and testing of new features within the studio development environment.
  • Establish, coordinate, and refine product development processes through cooperation with process leaders and business partners across the studio.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the mathematicians' team, ensuring project plans and delivery commitments are met.
  • Collaborate with other technical groups across diverse markets, including Class II, Historical Horse Racing, online social and iGaming, and lottery markets.
  • Ensure operational excellence by developing and tracking metrics and alerts within a continuous process enhancement setting.
  • Manage department resources, including staffing, mentoring, and improving to maintain an outstanding team. Conduct regular 1:1s with team members.
  • Join Aristocrat as a Mathematician Manager and lead a team of outstanding mathematicians in crafting magnificent, world-class gaming products!

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience directing and supervising a team of mathematicians or technical specialists.
  • Remarkable proficiency in establishing, directing, and advancing product development processes.
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Experience collaborating with diverse technical groups across multiple markets.

Skills

  • Direct the development and delivery of solutions to meet portfolio requirements.
  • Identify priorities and communicate process and timeline impacts throughout decision-making processes.
  • Analyze technical solutions and recommend options based on technical, feasible, and financial merits.

Compensation

  • $105,000 - $195,000 per year
  • Our goal is to pay a market competitive salary focusing near the median of our pay ranges.
  • However, final offers for all positions will be based on several factors such as experience level, education, skills, work location, and internal pay equity.
