About the role

This is not a role for someone looking for a traditional 40-hour work week.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy, engineering, and business development, offering a unique opportunity to shape how our technology is understood and adopted by the market.
This is a full-time position that can either be worked onsite at the El Segundo office or remote.

Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and strategy teams to translate technical inputs into polished narratives, graphics, and structured proposal components.
Manage proposal timelines and workflows, including content collection, technical reviews, color-team reviews, and final production.
Develop reusable proposal assets, including boilerplate text, past performance summaries, capability statements, and standard graphics.
Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Requirements

Candidates must be a U.S. Person (this includes U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Protected Individual as defined by law), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
Bachelor's degree in Writing, Engineering, Business, Communications, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in proposal writing, technical writing, or government contracting-preferably in aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, or similar industries.
Strong understanding of government procurement processes, including FAR-based solicitations, SBIR/STTR programs, and OTA or commercial contracting pathways.
Ability to synthesize complex, highly technical information into clear, concise, and engaging content.
Experience with proposal tools and templates (e.g., color reviews, compliance matrices, proposal outlines).

Compensation

$90,000 - $125,000 USD

As a Proposal Writer at Space Kinetic, you will play a critical role in securing the partnerships, contracts, and funding that power our mission.
You will lead the development of high‑quality proposals for government agencies, commercial customers, and strategic partners: translating complex technical concepts into compelling, clear, and compliant narratives.
Lead end-to-end proposal development, from opportunity analysis and outline creation to final submission for government (e.g.,DoD, SBIR, NASA) and commercial customers.
Craft persuasive, technically accurate content that clearly communicates our mission, capabilities, solutions, and value proposition.
