Our partner is looking for a Member of Technical Staff, Custody (Backend Engineer) based in Canada.
As a Backend Engineer within the Custody team, you will help build secure, reliable, and scalable systems that enable institutions to interact with digital assets safely.
You will collaborate with talented engineers across teams to solve complex technical challenges and deliver high-impact solutions.
You will play a key role in building resilient infrastructure that supports the future of digital finance.
Participate in the design, implementation, testing, documentation, and maintenance of custody-related systems and services.
Build scalable and resilient backend services capable of handling high volumes of transactions and complex workflows.
Analyze complex and ambiguous technical challenges, developing practical and elegant solutions.
Break down large initiatives into actionable tasks, estimate scope, evaluate trade-offs, and drive projects from concept through delivery.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve problems and ensure alignment with broader technical objectives.

Strong software engineering fundamentals, including knowledge of concurrency, algorithms, and data structures.
Strong understanding of software development practices, code quality, testing strategies, and maintainable architecture.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment with evolving priorities.
Experience with applied cryptography or security-focused engineering.
Experience designing and implementing GraphQL or gRPC APIs.
Familiarity with blockchain protocols and technical research.

experience with Go is preferred, though strong engineering skills across languages are valued.
Experience with backend programming languages
