  • The Underground Mine Night Shift Electrician is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and mining equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient underground operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on underground electrical systems and mining equipment.
  • Install, test, and maintain:
  • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
  • Perform lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures before maintenance activities.
  • Maintain compliance with MSHA regulations, company safety standards, and electrical codes.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in work areas and electrical rooms.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required mine certifications.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Required
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of:
  • Three-phase electrical systems
  • Motor controls
  • PLC troubleshooting
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic control systems
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

Compensation

  • $45k-$55k

  • This position works independently during the night shift to minimize equipment downtime while adhering to all mine safety regulations, electrical codes, and company policies.
  • Working hours Sunday 10 pm to 6:30 am Monday - Thursday 6 pm to 2:30 am Pay $45 - $55 per hour based on experience
