- This role is ideal for an early-career engineer seeking hands-on exposure to project management, construction materials testing, field operations, and client-facing responsibilities while working alongside experienced project managers.
Responsibilities
- Support the scheduling and coordination of field technicians, inspectors, subcontractors, and laboratory personnel.
- Visit project sites to observe construction activities and support project execution.
- Perform site reconnaissance, field observations, and data collection activities.
- Perform basic engineering calculations and support geotechnical and construction-related analyses.
- Support project budgeting, scheduling, and administrative activities as assigned.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
- 0-5 years of experience in construction materials testing, special inspections, geotechnical engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
Nice to have
- Experience with construction materials testing, special inspections, geotechnical investigations, or construction quality assurance services.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or progress toward professional licensure.
- Familiarity with construction plans, specifications, and engineering reports.
- Experience coordinating field operations, subcontractors, or project schedules.
- Interest in pursuing a career path in Construction Services Project Management.
