About the role

  • Join us for an internship experience that offers real-world project involvement within a supportive environment with ample opportunities for professional and personal growth.
  • We are currently seeking an Energy Group Intern in our Columbus, OH office for the Summer semester (May-Aug).
  • This internship will be a full-time position working 40 hours a week during standard business hours.

Responsibilities

  • Assist on station civil tasks: site design, stormwater management, access road and culvert design, permitting, grading, surveying, plan production and cost estimation.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Civil Engineering degree
  • Ability to function well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Perform tasks and solve problems with a high degree of independence.

  • Be enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university, preferably with at least sophomore status
  • Have a general interest in site civil design
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional multitasking and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently as Woolpert utilizes a hybrid work environment meaning part time in the office and part time from home (to be coordinated with supervisor)

Nice to have

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D and/or Microstation would be preferred, but not required
