About the role
- Headquartered in Cordova, TN, Stratas Foods is a 50/50 joint venture formed in October 2008 between ACH Food Companies and Archer Daniels Midland Company.

- Manufacturing facilities are located in Dallas and Houston, TX; Decatur and Quincy, IL; Englewood, NJ; Hillside, NJ; Fresno, CA; Nashville, TN; and Valdosta, GA.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
- Maintain and promote a clean and safe work environment.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and develop junior technicians, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.
Requirements
- Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time while performing job duties.
- Must be capable of working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and must be able to wear a respirator.
- Mental/Reasoning: Must be able to analyze information quickly to provide feedback in the manufacturing process and troubleshoot equipment failures
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical principles.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting hydraulic and pneumatic drawings
- Hands-on experience with PLC/automation systems
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma, to enhance equipment performance and reduce downtime.
Nice to have
- High school diploma or GED
- additional technical training or certifications preferred.
Skills
- Corporate offices are located in Memphis, TN.
- This position requires a deeper understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, with increased responsibility and minimal supervision.
