About the role

  • The Firmware Engineering Group is seeking a highly motivated and passionate candidate to join Firmware PMO Team as a Firmware Engineering Program Manager.
  • The successful candidate will work in an exciting, high profile, team-oriented, and fast-paced environment and working closely alongside engineers and system teams.

Responsibilities

  • As a Program Manager, you will support a cross functional team that creates, designs and develops Embedded Controller firmware for HP Business Desktops and Notebooks.
  • You will also ensure on-time delivery or escalations as necessary and support organizational strategy.
  • Use Agile Principles to deliver firmware for business notebooks and desktop PCs
  • Develop and manage schedules, critical deliverables, resource allocation plan and other support requirements for firmware projects
  • Collaborate with teams for customer documentation associated with firmware development
  • Communicate program progress, escalations and issue analysis to product stakeholders; collaborates with management and manufacturing and development partners to recommend and implement changes to product, processes, or business practices

Requirements

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in program/project management, scrum master, professional technology organization, or a related field.

  • Ideally, you have a background in firmware and software with hands on experience in Agile Program Management.

Compensation

  • The pay range for this role is $130,700 to $205,200 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only).
