About the role

We focus on cellular reprogramming and autophagy to rejuvenate cell and tissue function with the ultimate aim of adding 10 years to healthy human lifespan.

Perform dose administration (IP, SQ, RO, PO, IV), blood collection (RO, Cardiac, SM, tail vein), oral gavage administration, and necropsy in rodent models.
Retro develops therapies for diseases driven by the biology of aging.
In this role you will support a range of activities enabling our technical in vivo research and clinical development.
You want to be involved in research using rodent models, learn new procedures and techniques, and maintain the highest standards of animal welfare.

You are curious and driven.
You enjoy working on a tight knit team but also feel confident working independently as needed.
BS/AS degree in biology, veterinary science, or a related field, or equivalent of 5+ years industry experience.
2+ years of animal husbandry, colony management or rodent work in a research setting.
Experience with dose administration (IP, SQ, RO, PO, IV), blood collection (RO, Cardiac, SM, tail vein), oral gavage administration, and necropsy in rodent models.
Experience assisting with and/or performing rodent anesthesia and sterile survival surgical procedures.
Have hands-on experience with behavior phenotyping assays, specifically (Y-Maze, Open field, Rotarod, and water maze).
Must be able to stand, sit, crouch, and climb frequently for long durations.
Must be able to safely lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
