About the role
- The intercollegiate athletics program is an integral part of the university striving to achieve the same standards of excellence in athletics that exist within academic programs.
- Sport programs are a vital function of the University at large.
- This position is responsible for the assisting in the successful planning, direction and administration of all aspects of the University's NCAA Division I Softball Program.
Requirements
- Knowledge of NCAA rules required.
- Required (may obtain and maintain immediately following hire): CPR/First Aid, NCAA Rules and Regulations certification.
- Knowledge and adherence to NCAA, Conference, State, Institutional, and Department rules and regulations.

Nice to have
- Bachelors degree preferred, Masters degree preferred.
- Combination of Division I collegiate playing/coaching experience preferred.

- Assist in the development and implementation of competitive strategies, including scouting

- Lead and motivate student-athletes to maximize their potential.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills to assist a competitive Division I softball program.
