About the role
- The ideal candidate is an experienced campaign organizer with at least 2 cycles of field and staff management experience, skilled in VAN, GSuite, and volunteer recruitment and training.
- Brings strong organizational and leadership abilities, a collaborative and goal-oriented work style, and a deep commitment to equity and cross-cultural awareness.
- Possesses extensive knowledge of the Nevada organizing landscape and is flexible to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed to meet campaign goals.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a field plan to target, engage, persuade and turn out voters;
- Collaborate with the Director of Nevada Campaigns and other key stakeholders to strengthen existing organizing efforts and recruit volunteers to Nevada Action Councils;
- Providing support to and leading a team of Organizers;
- Building and mobilizing a state-wide pool of volunteers, members, and activists;
- Building systems to analyze data and regularly communicating key metrics to Organizing and Campaigns leadership;
- Maintaining consistent communication with Organizers to build skills, professionally develop, and mentor;
Requirements
- Proficiency in VAN, GSuite, and relational texting platforms;
- access to a vehicle/valid driver's license required.
- Ability to use that knowledge to make informed decisions about the organization's approach with key stakeholders across Nevada and effectively navigate any complex dynamics;
- Strong supervisory skills and experience with an intersectional approach to managing staff;
- Knowledge of diverse groups, working with a multicultural workforce and sensitivity to and appreciation of cultural differences;
- Standard working hours generally fall on Monday through Friday, but flexibility is required, including evenings and weekends, especially closer to the election;
- 2+ cycles of campaign organizing experience, including at least 2 cycles of staff management experience
- Prior experience recruiting, training, and managing volunteers on electoral or issue in a culturally competent manner
- A self-motivated and collaborative individual with a demonstrated track record of achieving goals and meeting deadlines, while remaining flexible in the face of changing priorities
- Possesses strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Willingness to collaborate in a team environment to solve complex problems and work across departments when necessary to meet long term goals
- Personal and professional commitment to promoting and investing in cross-cultural skills and awareness related to individuals from broad backgrounds, races, ethnicities, religions, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and disability
- Be able to lead and attend in-person events
- access to a vehicle/valid driver's license required. Willingness to travel across Nevada
- Significant knowledge and understanding of Nevada organizing landscape and dynamics

Compensation
- $90,000 - $130,000
