About the role
- In this role, you'll interface directly with both engineering and creative teams to ensure all projects meet or exceed SpaceX's high standards for both quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, conceptualize, edit, and create animation pieces for external and internal use from concept to completion
- Actively monitor and track significant milestones for the company and initiate plans to create supporting content
- Source and evaluate quality vendors as needed to enhance creative output and support capabilities of internal teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of professional experience creating 2D motion graphics in After Effects
- Online portfolio or any supplemental samples of work with examples of 2D animation work is required for consideration
- Must be willing to work extended hours and/or weekends to accommodate prototyping and product launch campaigns
- To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
Skills
- 5+ years of experience creating 2D motion graphics
- Experience with client management and full-cycle production of original content
- Expertise in other Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro)
- Experience with creating Lottie files
- Experience creating 2D digital assets/iconography
- Experience with 3D animation
- Experience with data processing tools (QGIS, ParaViewer, etc.)
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, etc.)
- Resourcefulness and ability to locate and archive assets independently
- Able to multi-task on animation projects with a tireless work ethic
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams
- Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills
Compensation
- Level I: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00/per year
- Level II: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00/per year
- Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
- Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
- You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year.
- $85,000.00 - $100,000.00/per year
- $95,000.00 - $120,000.00/per year
