About the role

  • We are currently seeking a Supervisor-Production.
  • This position is directly responsible for all aspects of managing an assembly, distribution, machining or processing in manufacturing with a specific focus on safety, quality, and throughput.
  • Oversee all day-to-day activities in the processing department.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and/or revises standard operational and working practices to ensure compliance with standard procedures.
  • Participates in and drives Continuous Improvement projects within assigned manufacturing area and measures them for effectiveness.
  • Notify the Quality Department if changes in the QAPs are needed, and work with them to develop and implement revised or new procedures.

Requirements

  • Participates in and drives the Corrective Action Process in the Processing departments and assists other departments as required.
  • Leadership and participation in continuous improvement initiatives, specification review and LEAN projects is also required.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations in assembly, machining or processing
  • Knowledge of problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of assembly, machining or processing practices and procedures
  • Ability to supervise and delegate work to direct reports.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing
  • Ability to use Microsoft office suite of products and other operations software
  • Ability to apply lean tools and principles

Nice to have

  • BA/BS degree with 3-5 years' experience preferred
