About the role
- Assists patients in reaching their maximum performance and level of functioning, and instructs parents and caregivers in recommended therapy interventions to promote optimal developmental functioning.
- Essential Functions - Clinical resource Serves as clinical resource and contributes to professional development/education of staff members, other professionals and/or general public and provides training for staff in area(s) of expertise.
Responsibilities
- Participates in operational aspects of the department, maintains performance improvement activities within the department, and participates in CQI activities.
- Collaborates with department leadership in clinical and operational projects.
Requirements
- 3 Years Experience in pediatric and neonatal aspects of occupational therapy.
- California Occupational Therapist license - CA Board of Occupational Therapy -REQUIRED
- On-Call Required:
- CA Board of Occupational Therapy -REQUIRED
- American Heart Association -REQUIRED
- Required Qualifications
- CCS paneling is required for occupational therapists functioning in a CCS designated NICU. Paneling is required within 6 months of hire. Must complete Sharp neonatal training/competency program.
Nice to have
- Graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy or graduate of accredited college or university with a certificate in Occupational Therapy
